Today
we decided to worship with a family of friends who are members of a Seventh Day
Adventist Church in Kitale. We’ve
visited this church before and were greatly encouraged through the music
ministry of this body of believers. The
church choir has even make a couple of music DVDs! It was once again a great time of focusing on
God. After the service, Dawn was able to
get a “over denture” to replace her broken tooth until we can return to the
US. The three Bibles were left today
with the doctor and his staff plus one patient who was in the waiting
room! We also had some great conversation
about the vision of RUN, and may even find our new dentist friend involved with
us on some level in the future.
We
visited with Lillian, a friend who was hospitalized last night due to a
miscarriage. She was encouraged by our
time together as well as the youth choir who paid her a visit while we were
still there. We took that as our cue to
leave as the rooms are very small! The
rest of our evening was spent at the home of our friends Justus and Rhoda Arani
who provided a wonderful noon meal and plenty of good fellowship. Follows this with another night in front of a
roaring fire back at the farm and it has been the perfect ending to a perfect
day.
Prayer
points:
1. Pray
for Lillian as she continues to recover from her miscarriage. Doctors are watching her overnight and if all
goes well, she will be released on Sunday.
2. Pray
for the sister-in-law of RUN board member Edith Bor. We don’t know any details other than she is
not doing well.
3. Monday
will include more meetings with architects, trying to find the best person to
work with us on the training center and milk cooling station. This has been much more difficult than we
expected and we appreciate your prayers.
